Welder/Fabricator
An opportunity has arisen within Garford Farm Machinery, for Welder/Fabricator.
Garford Farm Machinery Ltd, a global leader in the design and manufacture of mechanical weed control implements, offers the suitable candidate the opportunity to join a well-established, professional organisation based in Frognall, Deeping St James, Peterborough.
You will have the rare opportunity to become a leading player in a company expanding and evolving rapidly with an exciting future ahead.
As an In-house Welder/Fabricator you will:-
- Possess an understanding of engineering drawings. Advice and training will be given until you are fully conversant with Garford Farm Machinery’s engineering drawings.
- Be required to produce weldments in mild steel using MIG Welding and experience in TIG Welding would be an advantage.
- Be required to work from drawings produced by Garford Farm Machinery’s Drawing Office, consulting when necessary for additions and clarifications, to produce component parts for the Garford range of machinery.
- Install component parts into sub-assemblies when necessary
- Carry out regular maintenance of welding units
- Follow a safety protocol, including wearing protective masks, safety boots and overalls
- Assist with other fabrication duties, if necessary
- Adhere to time & production targets.
